Spurs have just come out of a scintillating victory against Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League opening match. But Mauricio Pochettino’s men do not have time to rest or enjoy the victory as they have to prepare for their weekend’s game vs Swansea City.
We feel that after such a hard fought victory during the week, Pochettino will look to give a much-deserved rest to a few of his first team regulars.
Let’s take a look at the Spurs vs Swansea line up prediction:
Hugo Lloris is going to be infront of goal.
We hope the Mauricio Pochettino will go with the same defensive line up as he did against Dortmund. This means that the trio of Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez will make up the defensive line.
These three did a pretty good of keeping the Dortmund attack in check on Wednesday night. Even though Vertonghen received a red card at the end of the match but that will not affect his domestic campaign.
Vertonghen – Sanchez – Alderweireld
The midfield will see a bit of a reshuffle as Pochettino will want to give a much-deserved rest to some of his players. In central midfield, Eric Dier is a guaranteed starter while Mousa Dembele will make way for Sissoko. The Spurs’ boss knows very well that Dembele will not be able to play more than one game a week and since he is such an important player he will have to be used very intelligently. Ben Davies will reprise his role in right back and Serge Aurier will hopefully be given a rest meaning Kieran Trippier will take up his place as the left back against Swansea.
B. Davies – Dier – Sissoko – Trippier
Dele Alli will return to the starting line up after being suspended for the game against Dortmund and he will be assisted by Christian Eriksen on the opposite flank. Harry Kane will be given a much-deserved rest after scoring a brace in midweek and Fernando Llorente is going to get a start against his former team.
Alli – Llorente – Eriksen
