Tottenham Hotspur bid goodbye to White Hart Lane in amazing fashion as they beat Manchester United 2-1.

It was the final match at White Hart Lane and the people at Tottenham Spur were calling it The Final. They also put up a banner and cautionary tweets celebrating the occasion.  And living up to the pre-match build up and emotions Spurs played a wonderful game to trump Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

It was Victor Wanyama who gave Spurs the early lead with a thumping header in the 6th minute of the match. After the goal, it was all Spurs for most of the match.

In the second half, Spurs scored a second goal and this time it was through Harry Kane. It was just befitting that the last goal at White Hart Lane was scored by their most important talisman. Spurs did make life a bit hard for themselves after United pulled a goal back but eventually, they held on to win the last ever match at the Lane.

After the win, Tottenham Hotspur have secured the second spot in the current Premier League season. While they will be a bit disappointed not to have won the title but this is the first time that they have managed to finish above Arsenal since Wenger came to Arsenal.

Spurs will move to a new home ground after which will have a seating capacity of 61,000 people. But till their new stadium is ready Spurs will play their home matches at the Wembley.
