The footballing world has been sent into a frenzy ever since the news had emerged that Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to leave Real Madrid. This came after Ronaldo had been accused of tax evasion by Madrid’s tax authorities.

According to reports, Ronaldo has grown weary of the situation and wants to leave Spain. And no sooner did this news turn into headlines, than the Portuguese has been linked with a move back to Manchester United.

Real Madrid have made it clear that if Ronaldo wants to leave then the club will not hold him back. But they have quoted as much as €180 million for him. But the hefty price tag is not much of a headache for the clubs who wants him. I mean, it’s not every day that the best player in the world is available in the market.

Clubs like PSG and Manchester United are some of the likely destinations that Ronaldo could move to. And it looks as if United are one step ahead in the bargain. The Red Devils are ready to offer as much as €175 million for their favourite son. News has also been coming out of England that the club are also likely to add David de Gea into the bargain in order to push for the transfer.

Real Madrid have been in pursuit of the United No 1 for a few seasons now and Zidane wants De Gea to be his first choice keeper. The Galacticos had launched a bid for the Spanish keeper last month but it was apparently rejected by United.

Ronaldo to Man Utd
Ed Woodward is ready to offer David De Gea to Real Madrid in order to bring back Ronaldo to Man Utd.

But it looks as if the tables have turned. It’s United who are now ready to offer De Gea in order to bring back Ronaldo to Man Utd. And if this does prove to be true then Real Madrid will be the clear winners in this deal.

If Ronaldo does want out, then Florentino Perez will have no other option but to sell him off. And if he can manage to do that and also get his number one transfer target at the same time, then it’s pure gold.

But Mourinho obviously feels that it’s not a very heavy price to pay in order to bring Ronaldo to Man United.
