According to reports, Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has agreed to a four-year deal with French club PSG.

Reports have been coming in from France that Sanchez and his representatives have met the PSG sporting director in Paris this week to discuss the deal. And by the looks of it, both the parties have agreed to a deal that will run until 2021, with Sanchez expected to receive somewhere around £275,000 a week.

Wenger’s reaction to the move:

As per the news, PSG are confident that they will convince Arsene Wenger to sell Sanchez with a £36 million bid on the table.

But when Wenger was asked about the deal in Beijing he promptly replied that it was only the media’s imagination. The Arsenal boss has been adamant that Sanchez still has a year left on his contract and the Chilean is going nowhere as of now.

Will Sanchez be sold to a club outside of the Premier League?

Alexis Sanchez was initially linked with a move to Manchester City but reports emerged that Arsene Wenger was not ready to sell one of his best players to a direct rival, a mistake that he has done quite often in the past.

The media in Beijing asked the exact same question to Arsene Wenger, if Arsenal were willing to sell the 28-year-old to a non-Premier League rival? But Wenger was quick to shut down any such rumours claiming that it did not make any sort of difference.

The Football Fan Base view:

Sanchez has only 12 months left on his current contract and by the looks of it, he is not going to sign a deal at the club. So ideally, Wenger should be looking to sell him off this summer in order to avoid losing him for free in the next summer window. But Wenger looks glued to his point that Sanchez is not going to be sold.

Everyone thought he was making such comments just to fend off interest from Manchester City, cause he did not want to sell Sanchez to a direct rival. But now with PSG showing interest in the player Wenger might just be having second thoughts.
