It looks like Manchester United and Chelsea have been given a huge boost in the pursuit of Renato Sanches.
Earlier reports had claimed that Sanches was keen to move out of Bayern after a very disappointing season under Carlo Ancelotti which saw the Portuguese fail to cement a place in the starting eleven. And it seemed as if AC Milan were about to scoop up the player on a permanent move for a fee of around £35 million. But now the Bayern management might have just changed their mind. The German outfit clearly feels that Sanches might still turn out to play a major role in the future and thus they are willing to let the player leave but only on a loan deal. This seemingly has put AC Milan off and the deal as of now looks to be off the table.
But AC Milan withdrawing interest means that Manchester United’s wish to sign up the teenager has been renewed with fresh hopes. United boss Jose Mourinho has been a long time admirer of the player and has publicly shown his eagerness to work with him. And now AC Milan backing off Mourinho might want to bring Sanches to Old Trafford on a season long loan.
News is also doing the rounds that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has also enquired about Sanches’s availability on loan to Bayern Munich. Both the teams recently faced each other during a preseason friendly and it was here that Conte showed his eagerness to sign up Sanches after the player came up with a top draw performance in midfield against Conte’s men. Sanches and Tolisso ran riot against Chelsea and both Kante and Fabregas were literally chasing shadows all night long.
Ahead of Chelsea’s preseason match against Inter Milan, Antonio Conte has said that he wishes to sign a few more player before the transfer market closes.
He also responded to the rumours of Barcelona showing interest in Eden Hazard by saying that the Belgian is happy at Chelsea and will stay with them for the coming season.
