Arsenal host Chelsea at home in their first Premier League fixture of the new year and Arsene Wenger will be hoping that his team that pick up all three points especially with a number of injury concerns plaguing his side.

Arsenal currently are 5th on the league table and Wenger’s biggest job will be to take his team back to Champions League football. The Gunners have not suffered a defeat in their last 5 league encounters but have won just two out of those games.

ARSENAL TEAM NEWS:

The biggest worry for Arsene Wenger will most definitely be the absence of Mesut Ozil will is out with a knee injury. Without Ozil, Wenger will most definitely lack a lot of creativity meaning he has to be over-dependent on Alexis Sanchez in order to break down the stubborn Chelsea defence.

Nacho Monreal is also another absentee as he is unavailable due to an ankle injury. Kolasinac too got injured during Arsenal’s last game against West Brom but hopefully, he will be fit to face Chelsea on Wednesday.

Aaron Ramsey is suffering from a hamstring complain meaning that Wilshere will get another run-in in central midfield alongside Granit Xhaka.

ARSENAL’S PREDICTED LINE-UP:

Goalkeeper: Cech.

Defence: Chambers, Mustafi, Koscielny.

Midfield: Kolasinac, Xhaka, Wilshere, Bellerin.

Attack: Sanchez, Lacazette, Iwobi.
