Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has assured that no member of his current squad will leave the club during the January transfer window – including David Luiz.

David Luiz reportedly had a clash of egos with the manager during the start of November and after that, he was not selected for three consecutive matches. Conte maintained that the exclusion was purely tactical and not personal. After the three matches, the Brazilian picked up a knee injury and has been sidelined ever since.

Now with the transfer window reopening, rumours have taken strong wind that Luiz might be on his way out of the club. Even though Arsene Wenger has claimed that Arsenal are not interested in the centre-back but still there are a lot of clubs who will be happy to have David Luiz on board.

While speaking to the press before the clash against Arsenal on Wednesday, Conte has put his foot down and assured everyone that none of his players will move out of the club in January – neither on loan nor on a permanent deal.

“My expectation is all the players we have in the squad will stay here and continue to work. Our squad is not big and for this reason, it’s impossible to send on loan or sell one player if we don’t sign another player.” Conte told the reporters.
