Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona seems imminent and the Brazilian has played his last match for Liverpool – as per reports.

Coutinho went very close to joining Barcelona during the summer transfer window but Liverpool and their owners blocked the move meaning that the playmaker had to stay back at Anfield. But now with the opening of the January transfer window, Barcelona are once again favourites to land Philippe Coutinho – according to the bookmakers.

According to a report in Sport, Philippe Coutinho has played his last match for Liverpool and he does not want to risk being injured during the second half of the season.

Coutinho played his last match for Liverpool on December 30th in a 2-1 victory over Leicester City. And as per the report, Coutinho does not want to put on a Liverpool shirt again.

But the non-appearance has nothing to do with a rift but rather the Brazilian does not want to pick up an injury during the final month of his Anfield career.

Jurgen Klopp is fully aware of this situation and is already in the process of preparing his team without Philipp Coutinho. The Liverpool owners, on the other hand, are ready to cash in on the Philippe Coutinho transfer by trying to balance out the books for the Virgil Van Dijk acquisition.
