Manchester United lead the race to sign Lucas Moura from PSG amidst strong interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Chelsea – according to reports.

The arrival of the likes of Mbappe and Neymar has seen the Brazilian Moura fall down the pecking order this season and he no longer seems to be part of Unai Emery’s long-term plans at PSG. The Ligue 1 outfit are now willing to offload the winger during the January transfer window in the hopes of balancing the books after some heavy spending during the summer.

Lucas Moura has made only 5 Ligue 1 appearances this season for PSG and if the report from BetStars is to believed then Manchester United are firm favourites to land the 25-year-old.

Director of Trading Ian Marmion said, “Manchester United have emerged as the 6/4 favourites with BetStars to sign Paris St-Germain outcast Lucas Moura who has slipped down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes.

“The 25-year-old has been a long-term target for United, with Sir Alex Ferguson eyeing up a move for the winger back in 2012, and now the Red Devils looked primed to finally get their man in January.

“Inter Milan are also in the hunt for Moura and can be backed at 6/1 to hijack United’s deal, while Chelsea and Roma are both priced at 12/1 to make a swoop for the Brazilian midfielder.”

Chelsea were said to be leading the race a couple of months of back and Lucas Moura too was interested in a move to London. But the Brazilian had made it clear that he will only join Chelsea if Willian was shown the door. But Chelsea have clearly failed to do that – especially with Willian churning out some fine performances during a previous couple of weeks.
