Chelsea have stepped up their interest in signing Ross Barkley from Everton and the deal might be closed as early as Thursday night – according to reports.

The Blues were close to signing the midfielder during the summer transfer window but Ross Barkley changed his might during the final few hours of deadline day. But now that the English International’s contract at Everton expires next summer, Chelsea are believed to be on the brink of signing him up.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are willing to offer a fee of around £15 million and Everton might just accept it.
