Chelsea are no longer interested in signing Alex Sandro from Juventus – according to a report.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte had been pursuing the Brazilian all throughout the summer and at one point it was being said that the Blues were on the verge of securing a move for Alex Sandro. But the Bianconeri refused to accept Chelsea’s €60 million offer as a result of which Sandro had to stay back in Italy.

Now though a lot of reports had been claiming that Chelsea were preparing a January bid for the left-back and they were confident of landing the player this time around. But according to an exclusive report by Calciomercato, the Blues are no longer pursuing Alex Sandro.

Conte wanted to sign the left-back as an alternative to Marcos Alonso who might head back to Spain by the end of the season but now it seems that the Italian has found another target.

This though comes as a huge positive for Manchester United who are also reportedly interested in the left-back. Now it seems that Jose Mourinho will be running a one-horse race if he really wishes to make a bid for Alex Sandro during the current month.
