Juventus’ chief executive has made it clear that the club will not hold back Alex Sandro if the player asks to leave during the January transfer window.

Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro was close to joining Chelsea during the summer but the Old Lady did not allow the player to leave. Now though it seems that the Bianconeri have changed their stance by claiming that they do not intend to hold the player against his will.

“Juventus’ policy is that if a player asks to leave, we won’t hold him back,” Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta told RAI(as reported by the Standard)

“We know there’s interest from big clubs in Alex Sandro, but at the moment there are no negotiations.”

So it seems that Alex Sandro has been given the green light to move out of Italy but Marotta also said that the club is yet to receive a bid for the left-back.

Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be the frontrunners in signing the Brazilian during the January transfer window but reports recently claimed that the Blues are no longer interested in signing Alex Sandro.

So clearly now Manchester United are the only team left in the race and if Jose Mourinho wants then he can have the Brazilian very easily.
