It seems as if the transfer of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for a fee of £142 million has opened the eyes of AS Monaco.

The Ligue 1 outfit have sold a lot of their star players during the summer transfer window and were adamant not to let go of Thomas Lemar this campaign. But now it seems that Monaco have changed their stance.

Monaco know that a lot of Premier League clubs are interested in signing up Thomas Lemar and this situation has only heightened after Coutinho’s move to Barcelona. According to L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 club are now willing to listen to offers for Thomas Lemar in the hopes of cashing in on the winger amidst some heavy interest.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in signing the player and it is being said the Liverpool are already preparing a bid for Lemar eyeing him as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho. Arsenal too are living in fears that Alexis Sanchez will move to Manchester City this month itself and the Gunners too are looking at Thomas Lemar as a potential back-up.

In such a situation, Monaco feel that the time is just about right to let go of Lemar and bag a huge transfer fee.

Previously Monaco had made it clear that they will not sell any player during the January transfer window but now according to the report, the club seems to have changed their mind.
