Arsenal have agreed to sell Alexis Sanchez during the January transfer window but only if they can find a suitable replacement within this month.

Alexis Sanchez becomes a free agent at the end of the season and he is likely to join Manchester City after he moves out of the Emirates. But now City are willing to pay a transfer fee of £35 million in order to bring the Chilean to Manchester. It seems that Guardiola has had a change of mind after the recent injury to Gabriel Jesus and the Spanish boss feels that Sanchez can do a perfect replacement job.

But Arsenal have made it pretty clear that they will only sanction the transfer if they can manage to find a suitable replacement. The same thing they said during the summer window.

Before the start of the season, Sanchez was on the verge of joining Manchester City while were Arsenal were set to bring in Thomas Lemar from AS Monaco. But the French winger refused to join the Gunners meaning Sanchez had to stay back in London.

This time too Arsenal have laid down the exact same conditions.

While Arsenal are still interested in Thomas Lemar, Wenger is said to be looking at Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez too. Wenger is a long time admirer of the Algerian International and the Gunners boss has tried to sign him a couple of time in the past. Mahrez is reportedly in the radar of Liverpool too as the club are currently on the lookout for a replacement to Philippe Coutinho.
