Manchester United are set to pursue Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney as an alternative to the likes of Danny Rose and Alex Sandro.

Jose Mourinho has been on the lookout for a new left-back for quite some now and it seems that he has finally stopped pursuing Rose and Sandro – primarily for their high price tags.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly demanding £50 million for their outcast Danny Rose while Juventus will part ways with Alex Sandro for a fee in the region of £60 million. Hence the Mirror are claiming that Mourinho now wants to sign Celtic’s Kieran Tierney as a cheaper alternative.

Apart from Manchester United, Chelsea are also interested in signing Alex Sandro meaning that the Red Devils are sure to face some stiff competition if they decide to go for the Brazilian left-back.

On the other hand, Mourinho feels that Tottenham Hotspur are charging way too much for the services of Danny Rose and the Portuguese is just not ready to pay that much for a player who has seen very little game time during the past couple of months.

As per the report, Tierney who has just signed a new six-year contract with the Scottish outfit will cost somewhere in the region of £25 million which is a much more viable option for Manchester United.
