Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku might not be having the best time of his career on the pitch but the Belgian International is certainly winning a lot of hearts of the field.

Fashion brand H&M recently released a controversial advert on their website featuring a black child model in a hoodie bearing the quote “Coolest monkey in the jungle”. And Romelu Lukaku has decided to respond to H&M’s ‘racist’ advert.

As soon as the ad was put out on H&M’s official website it went viral and amassed furious responses from almost every sector of the society. But Romelu Lukaku’s response to the ‘racist’ advert is heartwarming to say the least.

Lukaku posted an edited image of the controversial photo where the quote “Coolest monkey in the jungle” was replaced by “Black is Beautiful”. Lukaku captioned the image by saying, “You’re prince soon to be a king. Don’t let anybody tell you different … #blackexcellence”.

After facing a huge backlash, the controversial image has been removed from H&M’s website, while two others featuring different designs in the same category and modelled by white children remain.
