Chelsea are planning to make a rather surprising move for Hull city’s 35-year-old goalkeeper Allan McGregor – according to reports.

The Blues’ third choice keeper Eduardo is out of contract at the end of the season and it looks like the Portuguese is not going to renew his term. And according to chelseanews.ru, Chelsea are set to make a move for the Hull City shot-stopper.

The 35-year-old Scotland international has played over 500 games in his career. He started his career with his boyhood club, Rangers, and he won the Scottish Premier League 3 times with them.

When Rangers went into administration in 2012, McGregor went onto to join Besiktas but he only stayed in Turkey for a season – joining Hull City the very next year.

McGregor’s current contract with Hull expires in the summer and if the rumours do hold to be true then the 35-year-old could join Chelsea as early as January.
