Manchester United are desperate to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane during the summer transfer window – according to reports.

The English International has been in fine form once again this season meaning that a series of top European clubs have shown a keen interest in the player. And now it seems that the name of Manchester United have been added to that list.

According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Jose Mourinho is planning a rather surprising summer transfer bid for Harry Kane amidst strong interest from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid decided to let go of Alvaro Morata during the summer as Zidane decided to keep faith on Karim Benzema. But that gamble has clearly not paid off urging Florentino Perez to look for other options.

Multiple reports through the previous year had claimed that the Los Blancos have given serious thought to signing the English International and now it seems that Manchester United have also joined the bandwagon.

Harry Kane has already spoken about his long-term future with the Lilywhites stating that the club could do very little if he decides to move out.

Kane said: “I think if a player wants to go then why would you stop him?

“He’s not going to be in the club, he’s not going to play every game, he’s not going to put his heart on the line.”
