Arsenal and Liverpool have received a huge boost in the pursuit of AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar after the French club’s manager has claimed that the player could be on his way out of the club this month.

Arsenal are pursuing Lemar as a replacement to Alexis Sanchez who is set to leave the club while Liverpool are looking at the French International for the exact same reason as the Gunners – after losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.

And now Monaco’s manager Leonardo Jardim that a massive offer for the winger could easily change the club’s mind of not selling him in January.

Jardim said(as reported by the Daily Star): “Today, the market is open. You know how crazy the market is. Things happen that even a club like Monaco cannot say no to. It happened to Liverpool (with Coutinho).

“Things are as they are. The numbers today are incredibly big. Everything can change. The things I can say today are not true tomorrow.

“In the last two transfer windows, last summer and this winter, the numbers have gone up enormously. I still want to keep Lemar. If I stay here for 10 years I want Lemar to stay with me for 10 years.

“He is young, he can still play for 10 years. He has a lot of qualities, I like him a lot.”

A couple of days back we had reported that Monaco were willing to listen to offers for Thomas Lemar especially after Liverpool had sold Coutinho to Barcelona. The Ligue 1 side knew that the Reds have money to spend and were now looking to cash in on the opportunity to get a handsome fee for Thomas Lemar.
