According to an exclusive report by Express Sport, Riyad Mahrez is inching closer to a move to Liverpool.

Riyad Mahrez has been on the radar of Liverpool ever since the Merseyside outfit sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and now Express Sport believes that Jurgen Klopp has finally settled on Riyad Mahrez as a replacement to the Brazilian.

The report states that Liverpool’s chiefs are already in the process of discussing terms and the deal could be wrapped up pretty soon.

But it seems that the Algerian International still keeps ‘joining Arsenal’ as his first preference – if a deal can be struck with the Emirates outfit.

But a source close to the player has claimed that there have been no talks with the Gunners.

A few days ago reports had suggested that Liverpool were not interested in signing Riyad Mahrez as Klopp had made bringing back Naby Keita his top priority. But now it seems that move is turning out to be difficult as a result of which the Liverpool manager has shifted his focus to Riyad Mahrez.
