Manchester United are now the favourites for signing Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and it seems that the transfer could be completed within the next few days – as per reports.

Manchester City were leading the race to sign the Chilean International but recent reports suggest that Jose Mourinho’s side have leapfrogged ahead of their local rivals.

Alexis Sanchez has been left out of Arsenal’s squad which is slated to face Bournemouth on Sunday and the Mirror are claiming that Sanchez is well and truly on his way out of the Emirates.

Sanchez trained with the Gunners squad on Saturday but he did not make the trip to the Vitality stadium on Sunday. While it is being claimed that the 29-year-old’s exclusion is due to injuries but the Mirror say that Sanchez is on his way out.

While City still hold an interest in the forward but it seems that Manchester United is Sanchez’s next likely destination.

City are unwilling to meet Arsenal’s asking price of £35 million claiming that the Gunners are asking way too much for a player who is out of contract after six months.

Manchester United though are ready to meet the transfer price quoted by Arsenal and are also willing to pay Sanchez a £400,000-per-week in the form of wages.

And the exclusion of Sanchez for Sunday’s squad is a big hint that the Chilean is on his way out – more so when it is being reported that his family have already arrived in London before the player shifts clubs.
