Besiktas are planning to launch a bid for Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck after they recently sold Cenk Tosun to Everton – as per reports.

Tosun who was one of the most talked about players in Turkish football recently secured a £27million deal to Everton and now the Turkish outfit are eyeing a move for Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck moved to Arsenal from Manchester United a couple of seasons back but the player has been highly unsuccessful in cementing a future at the Emirates.

Since his move to London in 2014, Welbeck has netted only 22 goals in 0 appearances for Arsenal. But Besiktas feel that United academy graduate can be a perfect replacement for Tuson.

According to reports in the Turkish Football, Besiktas have already sent their representatives to London in order to negotiate a deal for the English International.

Having said that, Wenger though might not be too keen to let go of Welbeck simply because his other striker Olivier Giroud is also on his way out of the Emirates so that he can get more game time ahead of the World Cup.

In such a scenario, the last thing that Wenger would want to do is to let Welbeck leave and putting all the pressure on Alexandre Lacazette – who himself is going through a barren run in front of goal.
