Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is open to signing a new contract at Anfield despite some heavy interest from the Serie A.

The German International who put in a fine shift against Manchester City this weekend is out of contract at the end of the season and numerous reports have suggested that the player is on his way to Juventus.

Juventus have maintained contact with the midfielder all throughout the season and the Bianconeri hierarchy were keen to wrap up a deal as early as this month.

Can was expected to sign a pre-contract to join Juve this month but by the looks of it that offer is yet to arrive.

Now the 24-year-old suddenly has a change of heart and is willing to extend his stay at Anfield.

“My agent is looking after everything but I am here until the summer,” Can told reporters.

“I haven’t signed anything with anyone. I am talking with everyone.

“Of course I am talking with Liverpool. Why not? I still have a contract here. It is an amazing club.

“What can I say? My agent does the rest. I just concentrate on the scene, on my performance and the football. I will give everything for this team.”
