Clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs are all interested in signing Malcom from Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux.

Malcom has set the French league on fire this season and now it seems that the 20-year-old is on his way out of the club.

While Liverpool and Spurs maintain a substantial interest in the forward it is assumed that Arsenal are the frontrunner for singing the player this January.

Wenger believes that a £40 million transfer fee will be more than enough to bring the player to the Emirates which will be a perfect buy to replace Alexis Sanchez who seems to be on his way to Manchester United.

But now Bordeaux president Stephane Martin has made a statement that is sure to dent the hopes of Arsenal along with Liverpool and Spurs.

Martin has said that they are yet to be contacted by Arsenal regarding Malcom but also admits the fact that the player could be on his way out of France given the fact that the interested parties are willing to pay a handsome fee.

“Things are clear with his agents,” Martin told L’Equipe(as reported by the Daily Mail).

“He has not had his contract extended this summer just to give him away this winter. We haven’t had any discussions with Arsenal. From our point of view, it’s all hot air.

“They can always try, but they will have a hard time taking him from us.”

Wenger is desperate to find a replacement to Alexis Sanchez and up until now, it seemed as if Malcom would be available for £40 million. But now it is quite evident that the Gunners will have to pay a lot more if they wish to sign the 20-year-old.

Liverpool too are on the hunt for a replacement to Philippe Coutinho who left for Barcelona at the start of the new year. Unlike Arsenal, they have bagged a huge transfer fee from Coutinho’s sale and they will certainly not hesitate to pay a hefty amount for Malcom.
