Chelsea have decided to make a shock move for West Ham United striker Andy Carroll.

Antonio Conte is desperate to bring in a suitable backup to his main striker Alvaro Morata and during the past couple of weeks, multiple reports have claimed that the Blues are targeting Andy Carroll.

West Ham United are desperate to offload the player as they feel that he is no longer a valuable asset to the team – primarily due to his frequent injuries. On the other hand, David Moyes does not quite like the idea of letting the striker leave midway through the season.

The Hammers have maintained that they have not been contacted by their London neighbours over the transfer of Carroll but it seems that the Englishman is keen to make the cross-London shift.

According to the Standard, Carroll has said that the Chelsea transfer will be a dream move.

The West Ham striker is very much aware of the fact that the Blues are interested in him and he now wants the Stamford Bridge outfit to follow up that interest with a bid.

If Chelsea do manage to sign Andy Carroll then it would mean that Michy Batshuayi will be sent out on a loan deal. Sevilla are said to have agreed on a provisional loan deal with the Belgian striker but Chelsea are holding up the deal until they sign a replacement.
