West Brom manager Alan Pardew has claimed that no Premier League club has approached him over the transfer of Jonny Evans.

Evans has been heavily linked with a move out of the Hawthorns this winter and even his manager has claimed that he would be helpless if the giants of the league come calling for the defender.

Manchester City and Arsenal have shown a keen interest in the player and both clubs are trying to sign him this month itself.

But Alan Pardew has confirmed that his team have not received any bids for the centre-back – up until now.

“From my point of view there is no bid so there’s nothing to discuss,” Pardew said in his press conference, per Sky Sports.

“On the other hand, we have scenarios that are going to time out if we don’t get a bid for Jonny that’s acceptable for him and us.

“Jonny hasn’t come and see me this week so I’m in the dark a little bit. We haven’t had a phone call from another football club and that’s where it stands.

“In terms of our plans to use that money if it was to come in the door, that time is ticking away and that concerns me a little bit more.”

Manchester City are said to be the frontrunners in signing the former United defender as Guardiola has publicly claimed that he is out in the market looking for a new centre-back.
