Chelsea have moved close to signing AS Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri and the transfer could be wrapped up by the end of this week – as per reports.

Antonio Conte is out in the market looking for a partner to Alvaro Morata so that the Spaniard could be relieved from some of the goal scoring responsibilities. The Blues have already tracked the likes of Andy Carroll and Peter Crouch but it is being reported that the Stamford Bridge outfit have a real chance of signing up the Serie A pair.

According to Sky in Italy, Dzeko’s agent is will arrive in London on Monday to wrap up the deal for the forward, while Emerson’s representatives are happy with the deal that has been tabled.

Roma want €50m for Dzeko and Palmieri plus a significant amount of add-ons. But as per the report, Chelsea are willing to add out-of-favour striker Michy Batshuayi to the deal.

Michy Batshuayi has failed to win the trust of Antonio Conte and there have been talks that the Belgian International wants to move out of Stamford Bridge on loan for the rest of the season.

The Blues will try and use this opportunity to send Batshuayi on loan to AS Roma so that they can acquire the services of Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri.
