Liverpool have already lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona this month and it seems that they might very well lose Mo Salah to Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window.

After the Catalans signed Coutinho, a few reports surfaced claiming Real Madrid were eyeing a move for Mo Salah in order to compete with Barcelona next season. Such reports have just been confirmed.

Egyptian football chief Hany Abo Rida has confirmed on national television that Real Madrid will make a bid for Salah during the summer – with his national team manager Hector Cuper backing up the claim(as reported by the Mirror)

Hany Abo Rida, said: “There is a real chance he could play for Real Madrid next year.

“The Spaniards will make an offer for him.”

“Salah is now looking to improve his game,” he said.

“Obviously if an Egyptian plays for a club as popular around the world as Real Madrid, it’s going to be great for Egyptian football.

“It’s is going to be magnificent for Egyptian football.”

National team manager Hector Cuper backed the statement by saying, “I’ve received news revealing Real’s interest, but let’s not rush things.”

Mo Salah has undoubtedly been the star player for the Reds this campaign – scoring 18 times in 22 matches since his move from AS Roma.

By the looks of it, Liverpool will have a tough time in holding onto his once the season comes to an end.
