Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra is set to join Ligue 1 giants PSG.

Diarra played just six games during 2017 but was tipped to join Manchester United this month. But it seems that PSG have beaten Jose Mourinho’s side to the race.

The 32-year-old was recently released by UAE club Al Jazira meaning that the French International will join the Paris outfit on a free transfer.

Diarra has already completed his medical for PSG as per Le Parisien and will put pen to paper on an 18-month deal at the club.

Jose Mourinho was eager to sign Diarra after having worked with the Frenchman during their time at Real Madrid.

Now though it seems that the 32-year-old will be heading back to France after leaving Olympique de Marseille just a year and a half ago.
