Manchester City are planning a shock move for Manchester United and Barcelona transfer target Antoine Griezmann – according to reports.

Antoine Greizmann is tipped to move out of Atletico Madrid next summer and it seems that Pep Guardiola is interested in bringing the forward to the Etihad.

Griezmann has remained a prime transfer target for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for the longest time and the Red Devils were close to signing the French International the previous summer. But that deal ultimately broke down after a transfer embargo on Atleti.

Barcelona in recent times have rivalled United to the signing of Antoine Griezmann. Multiple reports suggested that the Catalans have made a verbal agreement with the player over a potential transfer even though Barcelona have denied such claims.

Now according to the Sun, Atletico Madrid are eager to bring back Sergio Aguero to Spain after the Argentine left the club to join Manchester City back in 2011.

Aguero is City’s highest ever goalscorer and Guardiola will not be too keen to part ways with the striker. But the manager might just give the offer a second thought if he can sign Antoine Griezmann.

City have been keeping an eye on Griezmann for quite some time now and the Frenchman has a buyout clause of £85 million. The Citizens value Aguero at £60 million meaning that if they wish to make a swap deal between the Argentine and Griezmann then they will only have to pay an additional £25 million.
