Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning to bring Karim Benzema to the Emirates this month if he can convince the Los Blancos to offload him.

Real Madrid were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Leganes this week and the fans were so annoyed with the French International that they chose to whistle at him – as a show of dissatisfaction.

The situation went so out of hand that after the match Zinedine Zidane had to urge the fans to stop whistling at Benzema.

“The only thing he enjoys really is being out with us on the pitch, so it’s good to have him back,” he said.

“But it’s not good to see him getting whistled when he gets back. This has happened with him and could happen with others.

“What we need from the fans is that they’re with us.”

Now according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Karim Benzema might become an Arsenal player if the Gunners can convince Real Madrid to sell off the player.

The La Liga outfit want £52 million for the striker while Arsenal are ready to pay a fee somewhere in the region of £35 million.

Zidane is under tremendous pressure and might very well lose his job at the end of the season. And Benzema knows that the manager is the only person who supports him. So without Zidane at the club, there’s no way that Benzema will be wearing the white of Real Madrid next season.
