Chelsea have come to terms with the fact that Eden Hazard will leave the club at the end of the season in order to join Real Madrid. But the Blues are adamant that they want someone in return.

The Los Blancos outfit are having a terrible run of form this campaign and Florentino Perez wants to bring a host of new players in order to challenge Barcelona next season. But bringing in new players would mean clearing out some dead wood from the locker room – and this is where Chelsea want to take advantage of the Eden Hazard situation.

As per Spanish outlet Don Balon, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will only let Hazard join Real Madrid if the La Liga outfit are willing to send Cristiano Ronaldo the other way.

Since joining Real from Manchester United, this has easily been Ronaldo’s worst season and multiple reports are suggesting that Zinedine Zidane is ready to offload the Portuguese in order to make space for some fresh talent.

Ronaldo has been linked to a series of clubs. Some reports claiming that he can move to the MLS while others claim that the Chinese Super League might be his next destination. But up until now every major report has claimed that if the superstar was to return back to England then he will only play for Manchester United.

This is where the situation gets tricky though.

Don Balon are claiming that Cristiano is a bit sceptical to play under Jose Mourinho once again and is willing to ditch Manchester United and play out the final few seasons of his career at Stamford Bridge.
