Chelsea suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Watford at Vicarage Road on Monday. The Blues played a large part of the game with 10 men as Bakayoko was given his marching orders after receiving a second yellow card.

Chelsea lost the game with an embarrassing scoreline of 4-1 and the London outfit now have picked up just two wins from ten games in all competitions. And as soon as the match was over media was abuzz with the news that Antonio Conte could be shown the door by the end of this week itself. Spanish media added more fuel to this fire by claiming that Luis Enrique was set to take over the managerial reigns from Antonio Conte and the former Barcelona manager was already in London to work out a deal.

According to the BBC though, Chelsea have no plans of sacking Antonio Conte as their owner Roman Abramovich has not lost faith in his manager – up until now.

BBC’s Simon Stone tweeted: “Antonio Conte not going to be sacked by @ChelseaFC in wake of last night’s defeat. Club trying to calm situation down. Not losing by three goals would help with that obviously.”

Rumours of Luis Enrique taking over the duties at the Stamford Bridge dugout have also been rubbished as the former Barcelona manager is still on leave and he had made no contact whatsoever with the Chelsea hierarchy.
