Wolverhampton Wanderers would like to hold their current position as they have collected 68 points from 30 league outings and already have a lead of 11 points over 2nd placed Derby County. And if the Molineux outfit is able to hold their position then automatically they will be promoted to Premier League.

As they are looking forward to entering Premier League manager Nuno Espirito Santo is planning to sign Nicolai Jorgensen, Joao Carvalho and Jose Fonte. Espirito Santo wants to make his team strong in order to compete against the Premier League giants.

Although Espirito Santo has preferred to use Leo Bonatini as his main striker in the Championship, it would be wise to introduce some new faces to elevate the level of competition if they get promoted. Feyenoord poacher, Nicolai Jorgensen would be a wonderful signing for them and Wolves have already been linked with the Denmark international in the recent past.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have injected a lot of top quality Portuguese players in their ranks and in the summer, Joao Carvalho should be roped in to follow the trend. The 20-year-old Benfica central midfielder is immensely talented and will only get better in the coming seasons by accumulating more time on the pitch. Carvalho’s vision and passing accuracy are quite commendable considering his age. He has represented various youth sides in Portugal and is arguably one of the highly rated emerging talents in the game. His pace, energy and resilience in the middle should be a welcome addition to the ranks of the Wolves.

Former Southampton defender, Jose Fonte has been battling for a place in the backline of West Ham United owing to the availability of Angelo Ogbonna, Winston Reid and James Collins. Wolves might be inclined to sign players who are well accustomed to the Premier League and Fonte certainly fits the brief. Not only is he a player of fine pedigree but also a solid defender who can be a genuine leader at the back and can help Wolves in climbing up the ladder if they get promoted.
