Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dug deep into his pocket during the January transfer window and has finally managed to sign Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton. With that signing, the German manager has somewhat managed to plug the defensive hole in his side but one big quandary still remains which needs to be taken care of.

Klopp still looks a bit indecisive when it comes to his midfield combination and the manager should surely solve this issue during the summer transfer window. Naby Keita will arrive at Anfield at the end of the season which will surely give the squad a much-needed boost but one big headache for the German manager will surely be the fact that Emre Can is likely to leave the club in the summer.

Can’s current contract with the club is set to expire at the end of the campaign and by the looks of it, he will not be signing a new deal at Anfield. His manager has also hinted that the midfielder will be joining Juventus on a free transfer during the summer.

If Can does depart then it will surely leave a big gap in the squad and according to reports, Liverpool are planning to plug this hole by signing Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.

The Foxes’ midfielder was brought in as a replacement to N’Golo Kante and has done a wonderful job in cementing a place in the first eleven.

Wilfred Ndidi has already made 29 appearances for Leicester throughout all competitions and Liverpool feel that the 21-year-old will be a perfect replacement for the outgoing Emre Can.
