Real Madrid have reportedly given up the chance for Manchester United keeper David De Gea and they already have set sights on another Premier League star.

Madrid have been trying to sign De Gea for a couple of seasons now and this summer too, they were expected to launch a bid for the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper. But now Florentino Perez seems to have realized that it will be very hard to lure out the Spanish keeper from Old Trafford.

According to a report in Talk Sport, Real Madrid believe that it will be easier to sign Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea instead of David De Gea.

Courtois who has also spend time at Atletico Madrid is yet to sign a new contract with Chelsea and the shot-stopper has every now and again shown an inclination towards moving back to Spain.

In a recent interview, Courtois said that even though he is happy at Chelsea but he would love to head back to Spain primarily because his two children are currently living there.

Club this emotional sentiment with the non-signing of a new deal and Real Madrid feel that the Chelsea No 1 will be a much easier target than David De Gea.

He is currently in talks over a new deal with Chelsea, but nothing has been agreed yet and as per Talk Sport, Real Madrid is willing to smash all the transfer fee records by offering £100 million for the Belgian International’s services.
