According to reports Rangers FC centre-back, David Bates had refused to sign a new deal with The Gers. Now it will be interesting to see which team he will choose over Rangers FC.
The fan blog of the Rangers FC, Four Lads Had a Dream in a tweet exchange with a fan on Saturday, has claimed that the defender had rejected the new contract with the club.
Bates has played 11 matches in the current season without scoring any goal. But as a defender, he is doing his job pretty well and showing some impressive abilities.
@JohnPorteous1 a Rangers FC fan asked on Twitter whether the news was true or a rumour. Replying to that Four Lads Had a Dream answered the negotiations were still at an “early” stage and there is plenty of time to get an agreement.
Yeah that’s true John, early in negotiations with him, Sometimes things take a bit longer with players, but not a problem at this stage. He’s a Rangers fan so hopefully we get it sorted. I’d be concerned if he disappeared from team as that would be a sign, however plenty of time

David Bates contract will come to an end this summer and the club wanted to play safe that’s why they wanted to sign the defender as earlier as possible.
