The Football Association are set to investigate the FA Cup incident where a couple of fans invaded the pitch during the Manchester United vs Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

United won the 5th round clash against Huddersfield with a scoreline of 2-0 where Romelu Lukaku scored both the goals on the night. But after the second goal was scored a handful of United supporters made their way onto the pitch in order to celebrate with the players.

Reports have suggested that the FA are going to question both the teams as to how the fans entered the pitch even after tight vigilance.

England’s governing body for football is taking the matter rather seriously as pitch invasion is deemed to be a criminal offence according to the rules. And if either of the teams is found guilty then they could face huge repercussions.

The fans that invaded the pitch consisted people from every age group including a fan who did not look to be more than 10-12 years old.

The FA is now in the process of ‘seeking observations’ from Huddersfield Town as to how the fans managed to enter the pitch despite tight security.
