Former Liverpool defender and current ESPN pundit Steve Nicol feels that Alexandre Lacazette is on his way out of the Emirates during the summer.

The French International arrived in North London during the summer from Lyon but has failed to secure a regular place in Wenger’s first XI. And now with the arrival of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang during the January transfer window, it seems that Lacazette’s Arsenal career is over even before it has gathered full pace.

Steve Nicol told ESPN: “I think this is a no-brainer,

“If you’re Lacazette, do you want to stay at Arsenal?

“You’ve never been given a chance, they bring in another player in Aubameyang, which pretty much tells you you have no future at Arsenal, absolutely.

“Wenger never gave him a chance, he never started him in the big games at the start of the season. Come January, he buys Aubameyang and he’s sitting on the bench again.

“There’s no future for this guy at Arsenal and the only way for this guy to get on the field is by leaving Arsenal.

“Regardless of how long he’s been there, which is not long, he has to move.”

Arsenal paid £52 million for the services of Alexandre Lacazette during the summer but the arrival of £60 million Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund seems to be the final nail in the Frenchman’s coffin.
