Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has rejected a move to join Premier League leaders Manchester City – according to reports.

Maguire has been in top form this season and the defender has spiked the interest from a number of Premier League clubs. Among the interested outfits Manchester City were said to be the frontrunners in signing Maguire but now it seems that Pep Guardiola is set to miss out on the 24-year-old.

According to a report in the Sun, Harry Maguire has refused an offer from Manchester City and is all set to commit his longtime future to Leicester City.

Maguire rose to fame at Hull City last season where he was one of the pivotal figures for Marco Silva’s side especially during the second half of the season.

In June of 2017, Maguire joined Leicester City for an initial transfer fee of £12 million. And the centre-back has certainly lived up to his price tag.

Harry Maguire has already made 31 appearances across all competitions this season – scoring 2 goals.

Maguire’s current contract with the Foxes runs on until 2022 and Manchester City were eyeing to bring the defender on board during the summer transfer window.

But the Sun are now claiming that the 24-year-old wants to stay at Leicester for at least a couple of more seasons and is not interested in moving to the Etihad right now.
