Manchester United came from behind to defeat Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku was voted the Man of the Match as the Belgium striker scored United’s first goal and set up the cross through which Jesse Lingard added the second goal for the Red Devils. But now it seems that the big striker had a lot more contribution towards the second goal instead of just crossing the ball.

Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he gave a piece of advice to Jesse Lingard before the match which helped him scored the second goal for Manchester United.

Speaking to MUTV, the Belgian striker said: “I told him before the game that every time I go down the sides he needs to make sure he’s in the box because I will find him.

“And he did well on the run and it was a great finish.”

If you look back at the highlights, you will notice that Lingard did exactly what Lukaku had asked him to do.

As soon as the big striker started chasing the ball down the line, Lingard was quick enough to fill up the vacant space inside the penalty area.

And then Lukaku managed to find the head of Lingard with an inch-perfect delivery.

The win against Chelsea means that Manchester United have consolidated their second spot on the Premier League table with their closest rival – Liverpool 2 points behind the Red Devils.

The loss at Old Trafford though has impacted Antonio Conte is a much negative way as Chelsea are now currently 5th on the league table.

Chelsea take on Manchester City next weekend while the Red Devils while the Red Devils hit the road in order to take on Crystal Palace on Monday night.
