The Carabao Cup defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday has brought nothing but bad news for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
And now it reports are to believed then the Gunners’ hierarchy have lost their patience with the French manager. Multiple publications in England are claiming that the Arsenal management have already shortlisted Arsene Wenger’s successor at the Emirates. But by the looks of it, not everyone on that list has got the fans excited.
The Mirror are reporting that Arsenal’s board have shortlisted 5 potential candidates to replace the French manager.
Germany’s World Cup winning manager Joachim Lowe, Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim and Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers are said to be the top candidates for the Emirates job while former Arsenal captain Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta and Shakhtar Donetsk’s manager Paulo Fonseca are also in the run-in.
But amongst these names, the inclusion of former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers have gathered mostly negative reviews from the Gooners.

Rodgers is currently managing SPFL side Celtic FC and has formerly managed Liverpool from 2012 to 2015.
Jardim and Fonseca are both keen to manage in England and if Arsenal come calling then surely they will not give it second thoughts.
But the biggest name on that list is undoubtedly Joachim Lowe but if Arsenal are serious about getting him then they will have to wait until after the World Cup in Russia.
