Juventus have given Liverpool midfield Emre Can a deadline in order to accept or reject a contract offer – according to reports.

The German International’s current contract at Liverpool expires in the summer and he is yet to sign a new deal. Rumours have been ripe that Can does not want to extend his stay at Anfield and is willing to move out of England. Serie A giants Juventus are said to be his next probable destination but now it seems that even Allegri’s side have grown frustrated from waiting.

According to a report in the Gazzetta Dello Sport, Juve no longer want to play the waiting game and have given Emre Can a 7-day deadline to make a decision on his future.

Juventus are the masters of picking up world class players on a free transfer and they are certainly eager to add Emre Can’s name to that list.

But it seems that Can is still doubtful as to whether he wants to move to Italy for the next season.

Emre Can joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 for a fee of £9.75 million and during his four seasons at the club, the defensive midfielder has become a mainstay for Liverpool – first under Brendan Rodgers and then Jurgen Klopp.

Can has already made 33 appearances across all competitions this season – scoring 6 goals and Liverpool are eager to tie him down to a new contract.

Jurgen Klopp has time and again hinted that the German can still sign a new contract at the club but no such news has come out of the Emre Can camp.

Juventus have been chasing the 24-year-old for almost 6 months now but now it seems that the Italian giants have decided that they want a confirmed decision from the midfielder.
