It seems that Arsene Wenger’s woes are just refusing to come to an end as yet another player has been ruled out of Thursday night’s clash against Manchester City.

Arsenal already have summer signing Alexandre Lacazette sidelined with an injury and the manager would have wanted to put out his strongest team on Thursday after Sunday’s Carabao Cup embarrassment. But it seems that Manchester City will make merry against Arsenal once again.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that defender Nacho Monreal will not be available for the match against Manchester City.

The central defender was withdrawn after just 26 minutes against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday and Wenger has confirmed that the player is suffering from an ‘inflamed back.’

Initial reports suggest that Nacho Monreal will miss the Thursday night clash against Manchester City and Sunday’s away game against Brighton but a few journalists have also claimed that the Spanish defender could very well be out for 4 games.

If that happens then Nacho Monreal will also not feature in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 clashes against AC Milan.

Wenger would want to pick up all three points against City after their humiliating loss at the Carabao Cup final on Sunday but it seems that the match is hanging on a tightrope as bad weathers prevail in London and things are expected to get worse on Thursday.
