After winning the Premier League last season in emphatic fashion, Chelsea have had a woeful season this time around. And many feel that this is down to the failure to get new players in during the summer transfer window.

One thing has led to another and now Antonio Conte is on the verge of being sacked. Chelsea take on Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday and it seems that Antonio Conte had a thing or two to say about City as well as his club’s hierarchy.

Conte said: “I think we must have a great relation for this team because they are doing and having a fantastic path this season. Sometimes it’s very difficult to find a weakness in this team,

“But I think that, when you work very well and there is a great feeling between the manager and the club, you can work the way you want and try and improve the team in the best way.

“Manchester City had the possibility to spend a lot of money.

“When you link these two situations – a good manager and much money to spend in the transfer market – and have the same ambition, this is the final result.”

The Chelsea is clearly not happy with his board’s transfer policies and it seems that the Italian has sent out a cryptic message.

The Blues are currently two points behind 4th placed Tottenham Hotspur and if the Lilywhites fail to win their game against Huddersfield on Saturday then Chelsea will have the chance of taking the 4th spot on the Premier League table.
