Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is eyeing a summer transfer window move for Chelsea winger Willian – according to reports.

Willian joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in a £27million deal back in 2013 and he’s managed 43 goals and 37 assists in 223 games. The Brazilian has been involved in 27 Premier League matches this season but has managed to start in only 15 of these games. And it reports are to believed then Mourinho wants to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford by promising him regular first-team starts.

Willian has scored 12 goals in 42 games this season but it seems like the Brazilian is still not a favourite for Antonio Conte. The 29-year-old was dropped to the bench on quite a few occasions during the start of the new year and many pundits questioned if the Italian manager was planning to sell him off.

The situation got so out of hand that Antonio Conte had to come out and publicly defend his team selection.

Manchester United were rumoured to be interested in Willian during the January transfer window but they signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

Now though it seems that Jose Mourinho has reignited his interest in the Brazilian.

The United wants to strengthen his squad for the next campaign in order to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title and he feels that Willian will be a fine addition to his squad.

Having said that though, United might face stiff competition from the Serie A side AC Milan.

If logic prevails then AC Milan would be the favourites to sign Willian because Chelsea would not want to sell one of their best players to a direct rival.

But the Blues have already made such a mistake by selling the likes of Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata to Manchester United.
