Antonio Conte’s side are currently 22 points behind Manchester City on the league table and when the Blues take the field at the Etihad on Sunday they will be desperate to avoid a third straight Premier League away defeat for the first time in five years. But by the looks of it, the Man City vs Chelsea game might not be played as you would have expected.

After a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last weekend, Chelsea were hoping to see some attacking football from their side this Sunday. A statement of intent basically before they take on Barcelona.

But now it seems that will not be the case.

Speaking to the press before the Man City vs Chelsea, Antonio Conte said: ‘When you play this type of game, when you play against this team who have showed to be very strong, you must have a plan in your mind to stop them with a tactical plan, otherwise you risk to lose in a bad way,’

‘The most important things in every game are to have a tactical plan defensively and offensively.

‘In my mind, if you want to win, you must have a great balance in every moment of the game.’

Antonio Conte already seems to have revealed his game plan for Sunday and we fear it is going to be a very cagey affair.

The Italian manager knows it for a fact that if you allow time and space to City they can tear you apart. And as of now, Conte is desperately trying to avoid a mauling at the hands of the league leaders during the Man City vs Chelsea encounter.
