Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante did not feature during the club’s clash against Manchester City on Sunday as Antonio Conte claimed that the midfielder was ill.

The French International was a huge miss against the league leaders but recent reports have suggested that the midfield powerhouse had collapsed on the training ground days before the high profile clash.

According to the Telegraph, N’Golo Kante fainted at the club’s Cobham training base on Friday morning as the Blues were preparing for the City game.

Kante’s teammates were shocked and confused at the way the midfielder collapsed on the ground and many of them feared that he had suffered a heart condition.

The midfielder was immediately attended by the club doctors and after several cardiology tests, it was confirmed that Kante did not have any major problems.

He was also given the go-ahead to play in the Manchester City game but then he fell ill on Sunday morning and the coaching staff decided not to select him.

The report suggests that on Monday morning the 26-year-old was feeling fine and had no further issues.
