Arsene Wenger’s 22-year old reign at Arsenal Football Club is coming to a close at a very rapid pace and it seems that the Emirates outfit have already drawn the list for the next best person to take over.

Yesterday reports had suggested that the Gunners board had held a meeting on Monday to decide Wenger’s future at the club and also who will succeed him once he steps down.

And now according to a report by ESPN, Germany national team manager Joachim Low’s name has been shortlisted by the Arenal hierarchy.

Other managers’ names like that of Leonardo Jardim and Brendan Rodgers have also popped up but it seems that ESPN has reason to believe that Low is leading the race to become the next Arsenal manager.

The 58-year-old is currently focusing on Germany’s World Cup campaign in Russia where they defend their title but there’s a buzz across Europe that Low might be tempted by the Arsenal job and might move to club management once the World Cup is over.

Low took charge of Germany’s national team back in 2006 and if Arsenal come calling he might just take up the job looking for a new challenge.

Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti’s name has also come up and many pundits claim the Italian has not taken up a new job since Bayern Munich sacked him last year because he wants to take charge of the Emirates outfit.

Arsene Wenger though has refused to change his stance claiming that he is the right man for the job to bring the Gunners out of this mess. But it seems that the Frenchman is fast losing the faith of his board and in such a circumstance it’s really hard for him to remain at the club for very long.
