Manchester City have had a fine season under Pep Guardiola and are virtually untouchable at the top of the table but there is one player who has claimed that he will not be ending his career at the Etihad.

Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero has claimed that he will leave Manchester City for his former club Independiente in Argentina.

Aguero’s current contract with the Cityzens ends in 2020 and the City heartthrob has stated that once his contract expires he will head back to Argentina.

Aguero played his youth football at the Argentine club before moving to Spain to join Atletico Madrid. And eventually, he joined Man City back in 2011.

In these 7 years, Aguero has gone on to become a fan favourite – scoring 200 goals in all competitions.

But he told Calciomercato about his desire of moving out.

He said: “When my contract with Manchester City ends (2020), I will return to Argentina, to Independiente.”

Many people thought that with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, Aguero’s time at Man City would be over but the striker has retained his form under Pep Guardiola.

Now though it seems that the Argentine has made up his mind of moving back home and playing the final few seasons of his footballing career for his boyhood club.
